Welcome
Boys Centre of Excellence
Our Centre of Excellence boys have been asked to be involved in a study on how the heart works in children between the ages of 10 and 15. The study is being carried out by Oxford University in conjunction with the British Heart foundation.
Rajarshi Banerjee, a BHF Clinical Research Fellow from the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the John Radcliffe hospital, explained;
'Oxford University and the British Heart Foundation are trying to find out if body size in children and young people affects how the heart and blood vessels work. If you have time, they would be very grateful for any volunteers for 3 hours at the John Radcliffe - you get to see movies of your own heart!'
Please see the poster for more details. There are detailed information forms, for both children and parents, available to download if you have any concerns regarding participation in the study.
